I am the “reading mother” to three wonderful kids and a loving husband.  Both my sweetie and I grew up in Chicago–yes, we went to high school together.  We spent more than 21 years moving around with the USAF and have finally settled in West Texas for a spell. A dry spell, that is. The summers are incredibly hot here but it’s sunny 360 days a year so it’s quite the trade-off for someone who spent 8 years dodging the rain clouds of southwest Germany.  We homeschool our kids, try to move our bodies and eat healthy (I’m the impetus behind the health-nuttiness in our pantry) and enjoy watching House Hunters together or perhaps even a little shark week…

Speaking of shark week, we have now lived in Hawaii for the past three years. As I tend to blog sporadically, I happened upon this button and realized it was quite out of date! So our eldest is now in the USAF about to be stationed in Florida. The creme in our Oreo is finishing her junior year of high school and is a budding musician and singer. And 9 yo Alex is just enjoying creating everything out of Legos.  In fact our house is built out of them:) (updated April 2016)
